Huis Ten Bosch (ハウステンボス) is one of Japan’s largest theme park resorts, located in Sasebo City, Nagasaki Prefecture, on the island of Kyushu.

Huis Ten Bosch is popular as a “dream-like foreign world” that faithfully recreates the streets and atmosphere of a Dutch town.

Because the park is very spacious, it is highly recommended to download the official Huis Ten Bosch app in advance.

You can check the park map, real-time attraction wait times, and the schedule for events and shows. The app also supports multiple languages, so it’s very convenient.

Within the beautiful European-style scenery, you can enjoy flowers that change with the seasons. Spring brings vast fields of tulips, May features a rose garden, summer offers spectacular fireworks, autumn has colorful autumn leaves, and winter is famous for one of Japan’s largest illumination events.

While leisurely strolling through the stunning grounds is wonderful, the park also offers many attractions. These include the latest VR experiences, 3D theaters, a Ferris wheel, and Miffy-themed attractions. There are plenty of facilities that both children and adults can enjoy together.

Inside the park, there are several hotels (Hotel Europe, Hotel Amsterdam, Hotel Nikko Huis Ten Bosch, etc.), as well as many restaurants and cafés. You can also enjoy local Nagasaki specialties such as castella cake, Sasebo burgers, and champon noodles.
